Bruised and Broken

Mangled and bruised
The heart loses an uphill battle once more
Slowly cracking, aching with desire
Shaped because of its downfalls
Seeking refuge from this pain
In the arms of another
Hoping that this time will change it all
That love will revive its broken spirit
And restore what was lost
