I read this book in my AP English class last semester and it has officially been added to the list of my favorite books. I highly recommend it.
The novel is by J.D. Salinger and the novel chronicles some important days of Holden Caulfield. Holden is a tall, lanky teenager. He comes off as depressed because well, he is. Holden is extremely highly critical of others and uses profanities like crazy. Holden is the narrator of the story as he takes us through the days after he decides to run away from school. He gets kicked out of from Pencey Prep days before Christmas break. I don't want to give away too much in case you have not read the book. It's a story you must read at some point in life. It's easy to follow as Salinger does not use words that you have to have a dictionary by your side to find out what a word means. It's straight forward and a Great Read!!!
