Alright, I read this book because Alex recommend it because it's one of her favorites so I finally decided to read it. I also read it because of the movie.

I knew it was a romantic novel, but I didn't how romantic it actually was and it was too romantic for me. I love the occassional love story, but this was just too much. However, I enjoyed it, but it's not one of my favorites.

Honestly, there were parts in the novel where I just wanted to throw up from all the lovey dovey stuff. I was also taken by surprise that a guy wrote this novel. Honestly, I thought it was a girl author. I was wrong. The only positive thing about it is that its only 214 pages long. I don't think I could have kept reading further than 214.

Overall, it's a great book for those who love these type of books. But for me, it wasn't my cup of coffee.

For once in my lifetime, I actually prefer the movie over the actual book.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars.

I read this book a few weeks ago- It was the only book at my Grandma's house and I forgot to bring any.  I agree with you Cindy, it was too romantic.  However, often or not, I couldn't put it down.  By the end of the book, I felt like I really knew the two main characters, Allie and Noah.  The end was way too sad and sappy though... But, what did I expect?  And Nicholas Sparks does have a good writing style.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars.

I haven't read that one, but I've read 2 other books by that author of the same type.  (Message in a Bottle & The Rescue)  The first was reccomended to me, and in the second the guy is a firefighter.  I liked them.  Yeah, it is all lovey and all, but there's more of a plot than just that.  I do have to admit that I'm a bit of a romantic though.     ;*
