Wise Words to a Deaf Man
You don’t see it
You don’t want to
Given the chance; you denied it
Living life not knowing the truth
You only do harm to yourself
Never asking the right questions
Listening is not your forte
You ignore what I have to say
That’s fine, don’t listen
When your world crashes down
I won’t be there to hold your hand
Why you ask?
Because that chance has passed you by
Opportunity gone
Scorned by your ignorance for the last time
To say that I did not grant you fair warning
Would be inconceivable
For that is precisely what my intentions were from the start _________________ Gra, Dilseacht, Cairdeas.

I really enjoyed this poem. It has a strong correlation to my life at present and I think it represents something everyone feels from time to time: the frustration of not being heard by someone we care about.
This poem represents it really well. I liked it !
