I Don't Want To Be Here

I don't want to be here,
Not even over there,
The lights are bright,
I want to fight,
I don't want to be here.

The girls are laughing,
The boys are clapping,
The voices are loud,
The music is hazy like a cloud,
I don't want to be here.

Spinning around and sliding
On stage instead of gliding,
My foot getting stepped on,
Not my idea of fun,
I don't want to be here.

Strange moves I can't remember,
I'm not from a ballet in Denver,
To much dancing,
I'm not use to prancing,
I don't want to be here.

I'd rather be anywhere,
Other then being here,
It's like my worst nightmare,
I know I'm being unfair,
But I don't want to be here.

*Sigh* I can relate.

This was cool, I liked it because it shares a kind of common feeling. Everyone has that thing or place that they hate doing or being at.

Nice!

Your poems are so cool!

Hmm..I see it as not wanting to being at a dance..maybe.

But I loved the rhyme sequence and how each stanze ends with "I don't want to be here" to stress the point.  Nice!
