Second Chance
Take a deep breath
For we are out of the darkness
A light shines down to greet us
It’s been so long
Yet a twist of fate
Brings us together once more
Stop and stare
At the brilliance of a new day
Often taken for granted
But not today
Everything is perfect
A laugh so melodic
A kiss so sweet
Together we will get lost
Each other’s eyes
Everything will be all right
I fall into you
And I know
That I am once again
Safe.
